Unique System of Coaching We have assembled an experienced staff of top quality instructors; including various Collegiate, Club and High School coaches, former professional players, regional and State Olympic Development players and local High School stars.

Over the years of developing youth soccer players, we have designed a unique system of coaching movement and space.

SCC Soccer Camps Founder
Gary Masamori has been involved in youth soccer in the area for over 18 years. Gary holds two US Soccer Federation National Licenses. He is currently on the California Youth Soccer Association state coaching staff as a coaching instructor. Gary has been a State Assessor for the Olympic Duel. Teams and is a former Director of Coaching for Santa Cruz County Youth Soccer League. Gary is also state certified in CPR and is a certified EMT. Gary Masamori

Gary through dedication, work and love for the game, has played a major part in the establishment of soccer in the Santa Cruz area. Through his unique program and philosophy he has been teaching and developing successful soccer players and coaches for the past 18 years. Active in all levels of boys and girls soccer and an experienced clinician for many years, Gary ensures that the same dedication and philosophy established in his Club soccer program is utilized in the SCC Soccer Camps.

Nick Meyer and Ivan R. Wilson would like to "Thank You Gary Masamori," for the opportunity of succeeding his dream of running the SCC Soccer Camps.   Nick and Ivan have worked many years building the camp foundation and with the guidence of Gary Masamori, they are finally ready to take on the responsibility of running the SCC soccer camps fully.

 
Nick Meyer
  • Nick Meyer is a Santa Clara Firefighter and National Paramedic.   Nick is a National Federation Licensed soccer coach and played at the Division I University level.  Meyer is highly respected among his peers, not only as a student but an educator of the game.  Nick is excited to give back to his community with the opportunity of teaching young players the game of soccer.

  • Ivan R. Wilson
  • Ivan R. Wilson, a Santa Cruz local, played collegially at Hartnell College and the University of New Mexico.  Ivan was nominated for Northern All-American Team and Defensive Player of the Year, plus he received a full scholarship to University of New Mexico. Ivan and teammates led the LOBOS to their first NCAA playoff birth and was awarded Conference Tournament 1st Team honors.  Wilson also has a National Federation Soccer license and has been coaching in the community for many years.  Ivan's knowledge and playing experience gives a special insight to the game of soccer, which he gladly shares with young soccer enthusiasts.
